Hummus

Hummus. Hummus is a dish that has so many regional variations. And to try and decide which region's is more authentic is a biblical and political debate that I won't touch. It may be a bit salty, but for some that's the way it's supposed to be!

Ingredients

  • Prepare 1 cup of boiled chickpeas

  • It’s 1/4 cup of sesame seed

  • Prepare 1/4 cup of olive oil

  • It’s 1 of green chilli

  • Prepare 4-5 cloves of garlic

  • Prepare 1 tsp of powdered roasted cumin seeds

  • You need 1/2 of lime juice

  • It’s as per taste of salt

  • It’s 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder

  • You need 1-2 tbsp of water

Steps

  • Dry roast sesame seeds till it turns little brown colour then grind into powder.
  • In a mixer jar add cooked chickpeas,2tbsp powdered sesame,salt,garlic,chilli & oil.Grind it into smooth paste… add lime juice & water & churn again.
  • Sprinkle some chilli powder & drizzle 1 tsp olive oil..
  • Enjoy this hummus with kebab, sauté veggies pizza base,falafel or pita bread..
