Hoisin Grilled Salmon. Place the salmon fillets into the marinade, and turn to evenly coat. Hoisin Salmon Fillets Fabulous Asian flavor in no time flat—this moist salmon is special enough for guests, easy enough for weekdays. I usually serve this dish with steamed brown rice, broccoli and a fresh fruit salad. —Jeri Farough, Perryville, Missouri Place your salmon strips skin side down on top of a large plate or in a large shallow dish. Hoisin is a Chinese barbeque like sauce or glaze. It is bold with flavors and really compliments the Salmon. To make Hoisin Grilled Salmon you need 8 ingredients and 3 steps easily.
4 medium of Salmon filets, approximately 6 ounces each (could do 6 portions with the marinade)
1/3 cup of Hoisin sauce
3 tbsp of Soy sauce
3 tbsp of Orange or pineapple juice
1 tsp of Granulated garlic
2 tsp of Ginger paste
1 tbsp of Brown sugar or honey
1 pinch of Red pepper flakes, optional
Instructions Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper to taste. In a bowl, combine hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, Sriracha hot sauce (if using), sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. To make the hoisin glaze, puree the soy sauce, water, hoisin, garlic, ginger, honey, and juice of one lime in a blender or food processor. Transfer to a skillet over medium high heat. Simmer until the mixture reduces to a syrupy consistency that will stick to the salmon when brushed on.
